FUNCTIONAL SKILLS ACQUISITION

 

Equip Behavioral Services teaches functional skills to your child to replace challenging behaviors that impact their lives both socially and academically. These skills include language skills, social skills, waiting skills, accepting removal of preferred items, leaving reinforcement, task completion, and a variety of self care and daily living skills. These skills are taught using a variety of evidence-based procedures that involve discrete trial training, natural environment training, task analysis, chaining procedures, behavior skills training, and applies the principles of behavior analysis to strengthen and maintain these skills over time, across settings and individuals.
